About Matt
I’ve been fascinated by Seattle, the Northwest, and our built environment for as long as I can remember. Maybe a little obsessed actually!
In 1993, this passion turned into a profession with a research position for the Committee for the Seattle Commons, a proposed park in South Lake Union. Next came over two decades in marketing with Lease Crutcher Lewis, focusing on market research and managing over 1,000 proposals. At the same time, I blogged for several years about urban issues, development, and alternative transportation for the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce.
In 2021, I began offering my research and analysis services to commercial construction, architecture, and development clients on a consulting basis...doing what I love full time!
I also enjoy writing and copy editing, with a talent for compelling, informative pieces on technical topics for diverse audiences.
